Saradha, I agree with you to a large extent. Sun TV is a business, and they just broadcast what sells. My problem with them is that they aren’t trying to expand their offerings. I guess it is much cheaper to simply leverage existing movie footage…

‘மக்கள் தொலைக்காட்சி’ என்றொரு தொலைக்காட்சிசினிமா, சீரியல் போன்றவற்றின் பக்கமே போகாமல் (சந்தனக்காடு, மறக்க முடியுமா.. போன்ற உண்மைச்சம்பவங்கள் தவிர்த்து) வெற்றிகரமாக நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடத்தி வருகின்றனர். விநாயக சதுர்த்தியன்று எத்தனை பேர் அந்த தொலைக்காட்சியின் நிகழ்ச்சிகளை பார்த்திருப்பார்கள்..?. ஒண்ணேமுக்கால் படங்களில் மட்டுமே நடித்திருக்கும் ஒரு நடிகை தன் ‘திரையுலக அனுபவங்களை (??????)’ சொன்னால் கண்கொட்டாமல் பார்க்க பல்லாயிரம் பேர் தயார். வியாபாரத்துக்காக தொலைக்காட்சி நடத்துவோர் என்ன செய்வார்கள்?. தவறு தொலைக்காட்சிகள் மீதா?, அவற்றுக்கு ஆதரவு தரும் மக்கள் மீதா..?.

ஆபாசப்படங்களுக்கு வசூலை அள்ளிக்கொடுத்துக்கொண்டே இன்னொருபக்கம் ‘ஆபாச படங்களை ஒழிப்போம்’ என்று அலறுவது போலுள்ளது. நாலு ஆபாச திரைப்படங்கள் படுதோவியடைந்து மண்ணைக்கவ்வினால், தயாரிப்பாளர் தானாக நல்ல படங்கள் பக்கம் திரும்பப்போகிறார். தீர்ப்பை அளிக்கும் அதிகாரம் கையில் இருந்தும் சரியான தீர்ப்பைத்தராத மக்கள் இருக்கும் வரை யாரை நொந்தும் பயனில்லை.

Well. I didn’t realize that it was about helping a love affair. I thought it was about help in general.

I think pattimanarams are exhibits of the talents of those who are arguing for and against the case in hand. Very few are concerned about the verdict.

சன் டிவி பார்வையாள்ர்கள் தரத்தை நன்றாக உண்ர்ந்துதான் திரைபடங்களை மட்டுமே வைத்து காலத்தை ஓட்டுகிறது என நினைக்கிறேன். போனால் போகிறது என்று அவ்வப்பொழுது பட்டிமன்றங்கள். ஆமாம்! ஸாலமன் பாப்பையா அவர்களின் “நண்பர்களே உறுதுணை” முடிவு பற்றி உங்கள் கருத்து என்ன?
